Dhaka, August 5: Bangabandhu's eldest son Sheikh Kamal was killed with a stun gun after Bangabandhu's son introduced himself. Major Bazlul Huda first shot Sheikh Kamal in the leg. The kill was later confirmed by brushfire.
Shaheed Sheikh Kamal's 74th birth anniversary today
Dhaka, August 5: Today is the 74th birth anniversary of Shaheed Sheikh Kamal, the eldest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, one of the organizers of the Liberation War and sports and cultural figure. He was born on this day in 1949 in Tungipara village of then Gopalganj subdivision. On the night of August 15, 1975, he was martyred at the age of 26 by the merciless bullets of a group of misguided army officers.
