Bangladesh receives another 50 lakh Sinopharm coronavirus vaccine doses

Dhaka, September 18: Another consignment of 50 lakh doses of coronavirus vaccine made by Chinese Sinopharm has arrived in the country. The consignment arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on a Bangladesh Biman flight at around 2:00 am on Saturday (September 17).

Dhaka, September 2: The Prime Minister and Leader of the House Sheikh Hasina said the government has already made arrangements to collect 24 crore 54 lakh 52 thousand 700 doses of coronavirus vaccine as part of the initiative to vaccinate all people. She made the remarks in a question and answer session scheduled for her in the 14th session of the 11th National Assembly on Wednesday.

Over 50 garment workers fall ill after receiving second dose of Sinopharm coronavirus vaccine in Gazipur district

Dhaka, August 27: More than 50 garment workers have fallen ill after taking the second dose of Sinopharm coronavirus vaccine in Gazipur's Kaliakair upazila. They are employees of a company called Mouchak Fashion of Sadma Group in Mouchak area of the upazila. After the incident, the vaccination program has been suspended.

Dhaka, August 20: A total of 2,24,13,079 doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administred, so far, across Bangladesh, according to press release signed by the Director of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Dhaka, July 18: Another 2 million doses of the vaccine purchased from China Sinopharm have reached the country. The vaccines came in two shipments. Vaccine co-production: China, Russia refuse to provide technology

First dose: Bangladesh restart Covid-19 vaccination today with Sinopharm and Pfizer doses
