Country's largest solar power plant inaugurated
Dhaka, August 3: Teesta Solar Limited, the country's largest solar power plant, has been inaugurated. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated this 200 megawatt power plant built by Beximco Power at Sundarganj in Gaibandha from a gathering at Rangpur District School Ground on Wednesday afternoon.
First floating solar power plant connected to national grid
Dhaka, May 31: The country's first floating solar power plant located at Bulanpur in Chapainawabganj has been connected to the national grid. The production capacity of this power plant is 2.30 MW.
Solar power generation in Bangladesh will be 1400 MW in 2025
Dhaka, May 25: By 2025, another 1400 MW of electricity will be available from 28 solar power plants under construction. State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said this.
