Dhaka, March 28: Miscreants have kidnapped seven people, including four teenagers, from Teknaf hilly area of Cox's Bazar in 24 hours.
20 people kidnapped in 22 days in Teknaf
Dhaka, March 23: Kidnapping business does not stop in Cox's Bazar's Teknaf. Miscreants abducted five people from the vegetable field next to the Pankhali Hills of Hnila West Upazila on Thursday (March 21) early in the morning. They have not been rescued yet.

Since midnight Friday, across the border in Myanmar's Rakhine, shelling has continued throughout the night. 264 Myanmar border guards enter Bangladesh
Dhaka, Feb 7: So far 264 people have fled from Myanmar to Bangladesh to save their lives amid the ongoing conflict between ethnic rebels and state junta forces inside Myanmar. They include Border Guard Police (BGP) personnel, army personnel, police personnel, immigration personnel and civilians.

Dhaka, May 13: Cyclone 'Mocha' is approaching Cox's Bazar with strength. The cyclone will move over the coast of Myanmar including St. Martin Island in Teknaf and its surroundings, the Meteorological Department said. As a result, residents of St. Martin panicked and began to leave the island with trawlers and come to Teknaf. About 1,500 people from at least 200 families left the island from Thursday to Friday afternoon. In this situation, the district administration has declared all the hotels-motels and resorts of St. Martin island as shelters.

Dhaka, February 16: According to the Defense Ministry, the Rohingya area of Cox's Bazar is vulnerable to HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C and diphtheria. So far 710 people have been diagnosed with these diseases. Six hundred and twelve of them are Rohingya. As of December 22 last year, 61 Rohingya have died of HIV/AIDS.
