Tk 2.25 crore daily income at Padma Bridge, Tk 1,270 crore in 19 months: Prime Minister Hasina in Parliament
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 8 February 2024: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the average daily income from toll collection at Padma Bridge is Tk 2.18 crore. Since the inauguration of this multi-purpose bridge, the total toll collected in the last 19 months is Tk 1 thousand 270 crore 81 lakh. She gave this information in a written reply to a question of Member of Parliament Nurunnabi Chowdhury in the session of the 12th National Parliament on Wednesday, February 7.
Record Tk 4.61 crore toll collected on Padma Bridge
Dhaka, June 28: A new record was created in the toll collection on Padma Bridge on Tuesday, June 27. 4 crore 61 lakh 34 thousand 70 taka was collected in 24 hours. This is the highest toll ever collected on the bridge.
Vehicle movement increases on Bangabandhu Bridge, Toll of Tk 3.25 crore collected in a single day
Dhaka, June 28: Traffic pressure on Bangabandhu Bridge has increased several times due to Eid-ul-Azha. A total of 42 thousand 560 vehicles have crossed the bridge in the last 24 hours. A toll of 3 crore 25 lakh 51 thousand 450 taka has been collected.
Padma Bridge: 660 crore toll collected in 10 months
Dhaka, April 27: Since its inauguration i.e. from June 26 last year to April 25 this year, a total of Tk 660 crore 24 thousand 150 in toll have been collected from Padma Bridge, said Road Transport and Bridges Minister and General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League Obaidul Quader.
Toll will also be collected on regional roads: Prime Minister Hasina

Planning Minister MA Mannan said that the Prime Minister gave this directive at the meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday.

Government to collect Tk 1,604 toll from Padma Bridge
Dhaka, June 13: The monthly toll collection target from Padma Bridge has been set at Tk 133.66 crore. As for the year, it will be Tk 1,603.97 crore. Apart from the maintenance of the bridge, the Bangladesh Bridge Authority will repay the loan for the construction cost with this money. The bridge authority will pay Tk 36,000 crore with interest to the government of Bangladesh itself in 35 years, not to any development partner or organization.

Dhaka, April 29: In the last 24 hours, between Thursday and Friday, 33,734 vehicles have crossed the Bangabandhu Bridge in 24 hours. The total toll collected amounted to Tk 2.77 crore.

Dhaka, May 13: About 52,000 vehicles have crossed the Bangabandhu Bridge in the last 24 hours. The toll has been collected 2 crore 99 lakh 18 thousand 240 taka. This is the record of highest toll collection after the launch of Bangabandhu Bridge. Vehicles cross from 6am on Wednesday (May 12) to 6am on Thursday (May 13).
