Dhaka, September 21: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has reiterated her call to international groups and the United Nations to repatriate the Rohingyas who have taken refuge in Bangladesh, and play a strong role in solving this crisis. The Prime Minister made this call when she met the High Commissioner of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) Filippo Grandi at the Hotel Lotte Palace New York meeting room on Tuesday local time.

Dhaka, September 24: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has demanded that Rohingya repatriation be done on "urgent" basis, saying the inaction of major international powers on the issue of crisis has shocked Bangladesh. However, in spite of limited resources, Bangladesh gave shelter to the refugees considering the humanitarian aspect.
Dhaka, September 23: In a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah proposed to draw up a roadmap on bilateral cooperation. He made the proposal at a meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly on Wednesday. After the meeting, Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen told reporters in New York that the Prime Minister of Kuwait had said that they wanted to jointly prepare a roadmap and a grievance program with Bangladesh in the next five years.
Dhaka, September 22: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has joined the 76th General Assembly of the United Nations (UNGA). She joined the high-level talks at the UN headquarters in New York on Tuesday morning, local time, the first day of the session. The UN session will be held from September 21 to 27. The Prime Minister will address the gathering on September 24.
Dhaka, September 20: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left Helsinki on Sunday afternoon on her way to New York to attend the 76th session of the UN General Assembly after a visit to Finland. Bangladesh Ambassador to Finland Md. Nazmul Islam bade farewell to the Prime Minister at the airport.
Dhaka, September 18: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who left for Helsinki, Finland, on her way to New York to attend the UN General Assembly, reached the Vantaa International Airport at 4:00 pm on Friday. Finland's non-resident ambassador Md. Nazmul Islam greeted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the airport with flowers.
Dhaka, September 17: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has left Dhaka to attend the 76th General Assembly of the United Nations in New York. She left the capital with her entourage on a special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines at 9:23 am on Friday.
Dhaka, December 3: Like every year in the UN General Assembly, the 'Culture of Peace' resolution raised by Bangladesh has been unanimously adopted. A statement issued in Dhaka on Thursday said the resolution was presented to the General Assembly by Bangladesh's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Rabab Fatima.
