US to provide another USD 18 crore for Rohingya population in Bangladesh and Myanmar

Dhaka, September 23: The United States has announced another USD 18 crore in aid for the Rohingya people. US Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield announced the assistance on Wednesday (September 22). The money will be used to provide humanitarian assistance to Rohingya Muslims scattered across the Rakhine state of Myanmar and Bangladesh, as well as other areas. The US State Department confirmed the information in a statement.

Covid-19: US gifts 100 ventilators to Bangladesh

Dhaka, November 16: Health Minister Zahid Maleque said, "America has been a true friend of Bangladesh since independence. The US government has always come forward as a friend in the development work of the country. America is currently the most affected and dying country in the world due to this corona disaster. Despite such a catastrophe in its own country, the United States gifted 100 sophisticated ventilators to Bangladesh. At the upazila level of the country where ICU services have not yet been reached, 300 new ventilators including A100 will be procured and sent very soon."
