Information Minister inaugurates Star Cineplex in Rajshahi
Dhaka, January 14: After Dhaka and Chittagong, Star Cineplex was launched in Rajshahi. The Cineplex was inaugurated at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Hi-Tech Park adjacent to the city's Bulonpara Ibandh on Friday (January 13) with a grand ceremony. Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud was present as the chief guest.

Dhaka, October 6: While in other countries, a consumer spends amount to watch each television channel separately, in Bangladesh one can watch 100 channels for Tk 300. However, this will not continue, according to State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Murad Hassan, who made the remarks before a meeting with members of the Board of Trustees of the Broadcast Journalists Center at the Secretariat on Tuesday (October 5).
Without clean feed, country's economy and culture are being damaged: Hasan Mahmud
Dhaka, October 2: The country's economy, artists, industry, culture and media industry are being harmed due to non-running of ad-free or clean feed of foreign TV channels. Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud made the remarks at the launch of Channel I Television's 23rd year at the Impress Group office in the capital's Tejgaon on Friday (October 1) morning.
Bangladesh Film Festival inaugurated in Kolkata
Dhaka/Kolkata, February 6: Information Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud has said that the Bangladesh Film Festival in Kolkata will further contribute to deepen the closeness between the two Bengals. He was speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of the third Bangladesh Film Festival- which will take place from February 5 to 11- at Nandan-1 Hall of Rabindrasadan in Kolkata on Friday afternoon as part of the regular annual initiative of the Information Ministry.
