Dhaka, Dec 29: The implementation of the country's development projects is slow. The implementation of the annual development programme (ADP) of the government is not going away. The long-standing slowdown has been further compounded by political unrest around the national elections. As a result, the lowest ADP in the last eight fiscal years was implemented in the first five months (July-November) of the current (2023-24) financial year.

Tk 65,000 crore of ADP aims to spend in one month

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, June 15: The pace of implementation has been very slow since the approval of the Annual Development Programme (ADP). Even the first six months pass this way. This trend has been going on for the last few years. In that continuity, only 65 percent of ADP has been implemented in 11 months of FY 2021-22. There are only 17 days left in the current financial year. However, the remaining 35 percent of the ADP, which is Tk 65,163 crore, will have to be implemented this month, including these 16 days.

NEC approves Tk 2.46 lakh crore development budget for Annual Development Programme

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, May 18: The National Economic Council (NEC) on Tuesday approved 2.46 lakh crore development budget for The Annual Development Programme (ADP) for the financial year 2022-23, prioritizing maximum allocation in the transport and communications sector as well as ensuring optimal utilization by preventing misuse of government funds. Of this total amount, Tk 1.53 lakh crore will come from local sources and Tk 93,000 crore from overseas.

Slow down in ADP as seven ministries and departments have not spent money in two months

Dhaka, September 11: Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the implementation rate of the development program has slowed down for the first time in the current financial year (2021-2022). In the first two months of the 2021-22 fiscal year (July-August), the progress rate of the Annual Development Program (ADP) is only 3.52 percent.

ADP worth Tk 2,37,000 approved by NEC

Dhaka, May 18: The National Economic Council (NEC) meeting has approved the Annual Development Program (ADP) for 1,515 projects in the new financial year (2021-22) at a cost of Tk 2,36,793.9 crore. Its final approval will be given in the National Assembly.
