Bhutan wants transit, Sheikh Hasina will talk with India

London, May 9: Bhutan wants direct transit with Bangladesh via India. In a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, King of the country Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck proposed to get transit. Sheikh Hasina welcomed the proposal of the King of Bhutan. She also assured the King of Bhutan that she would talk to India about this if necessary.

Dhaka, March 23: Agreement on the Movement of Traffic in Transit and Protocol has been signed to facilitate trade between Bangladesh and Bhutan.
