Dhaka, March 4: In the first two months of this year, remittances, one of the sectors of the economy, have reached two billion dollars. Expatriates working in different countries sent a total of 216 crore 60 lakh dollars in the month of February that just ended. The amount is Tk 23,826 crore in Bangladeshi currency (1 USD=Tk 110).

Tk 15,000 cr came in remittance in 19 days

Dhaka, Jan 22: Despite the dollar crisis, expatriate income brings good news. Remittance flows picked up pace in the first month of the new year. In the first 19 days of this January, expatriates have sent remittances worth 136 crore 41 lakh 40 thousand dollars. In Bangladeshi currency the amount is Tk 15,055 crore (USD 1=Tk 110).

Tk 21,181 cr came in remittance in November

Dhaka, Dec 4: At the end of the recent month of November, 193 crore dollars or 1.93 billion dollars came to the country in remittance, which is Tk 21,181 crore 75 lakh in Bangladesh currency (USD 1=Tk 109.75). This information has been shared in the latest report of Bangladesh Bank.

Tk 13,750 cr comes in remittance in 20 days

Dhaka, Oct 23: In the first 20 days of October, expatriates sent Tk 125 crore 70 thousand dollars in remittance through banking channels, which is Tk 13,750 crore 77 lakh in in Bangladeshi currency (USD 1 = Tk 110). The average daily remittance inflow is 6 crore 25 lakh US dollars or about Tk 688 crore.

Lowest remittance in 41 months comes in September

Dhaka, Oct 2: There has been a major collapse in expatriate income or remittances in the recently concluded September month. In this month, Bangladeshi expatriates sent foreign currency remittances equivalent to only 134 crore dollars through legal channels and banks. This number of expatriate income of the country is the lowest in 41 months. Earlier in April 2020, remittances were less than this. USD 109 crore came in one month.

Tk 15,475 cr comes in remittance in 21 days

Dhaka, July 24: Remittances or expatriate income has held a good position amid the country's ongoing dollar crisis. Just like the recently concluded June, there is a positive trend in July as well. If this trend continues, the expatriate income will reach a record 2.11 billion dollars or Tk 22,600 crore rupees at the end of the month. This picture has emerged in the latest report of Bangladesh Bank.

November records highest remittances in three months

According to the data of Bangladesh Bank, the remittance flow increased slightly in the recently concluded November month. 159.47 million USD remittances came in November, which is the highest in the last three months. This picture emerged in the updated report of Bangladesh Bank on Thursday (December 1).

No charge required to send remittance
