Ban on buying and selling hilsa for 22 days from midnight
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 11 October 2023: Hilsa collection will be stopped across the country for 22 days from the midnight of Buba. During this time, hilsa marketing, buying and selling, transportation, storage and exchange will be prohibited. VGF will provide food assistance to fishermen who refrain from hilsa harvesting.

Hilsa production has doubled in the last five years
Dhaka, 10 October: Hilsa production has almost doubled in the last five years in Bangladesh. According to reports, 306,000 metric tons of hilsa was caught in the country in the financial year 2014-15, in 2018-19 it increased to 533,000 metric tons.

নিজস্ব প্রতিনিধি, ঢাকা, ১৫ সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২০ : ভারতে ইলিশ রফতানির দিন পূর্ব ঘোষণা ছাড়াই বেনাপোল স্থলবন্দরসহ দেশের বিভিন্ন স্থলবন্দর দিয়ে বাংলাদেশে পেঁয়াজ রফতানি বন্ধ ঘোষণা করেছে ভারত। সোমবার (১৪ সেপ্টেম্বর) বিকেলে বাংলাদেশে পেঁয়াজ রফতানি বন্ধ করে দেয় ভারত। তবে এদিন বাংলাদেশ থেকে ভারতে রফতানি হয়েছে ১২ মেট্রিক টন ইলিশ।
ইলিশের কেজি ২৫০ টাকা
নিজস্ব প্রতিনিধি, ঢাকা, ৮ সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২০ : গত কয়েক দিন ধরে বঙ্গোপসাগরে জেলেদের জালে ধরা পড়ছে প্রচুর ইলিশ। পটুয়াখালীর কুয়াকাটার মহিপুর-আলীপুর মৎস্য বন্দরে এসে ভিড়ছে ট্রালারভর্তি ইলিশ। বেশি পরিমাণ ইলিশ ধরা পড়ায় দামও কমেছে। সোমবার (০৭ সেপ্টেম্বর) মহিপুর-আলীপুর মৎস্য বন্দরে সর্বনিম্ন দামে অর্থাৎ ২৫০ টাকা কেজিতে ইলিশ বিক্রি হয়েছে।

ঢাকা, নভেম্বর ২ : মা-ইলিশ সংরক্ষণে ২২ দিন বন্ধ থাকার পর আবারও শুরু হয়েছে ইলিশ ধরা। জেলের জালে ভরপুর ধরা পড়ছে ছোট-বড় সব ধরনের ইলিশ। বাজারেও ইলিশের পর্যাপ্ত সরবরাহ রয়েছে। ফলে দামও তুলনামূলক কিছুটা কম। ইলিশ ধরায় নিষেধাজ্ঞা আরোপের আগে যে ইলিশ ১৫০০-১৬০০ টাকা পিস বিক্রি হয়েছে, তা এখন ১০০০-১১০০ টাকার মধ্যে পাওয়া যাচ্ছে।

নিজস্ব প্রতিনিধি, ঢাকা, সেপ্টেম্বর ৩০ : শারদীয় দুর্গাপূজায় শুভেচ্ছা হিসেবে ৫০০ টন ইলিশের প্রথম চালান ২৪ মেট্রিক টন বেনাপোলে আটকা পড়েছে। রোববার বেনাপোল স্থলবন্দর দিয়ে ভারতে যাওয়ার কথা থাকলেও কাগজপত্র ঠিক না থাকায় আটকা পড়ে ইলিশের প্রথম চালান। কাস্টমস কর্তৃপক্ষ বলছে, ভারতে ইলিশের প্রথম চালান দুপুরে যাওয়ার কথা থাকলে মাছ রফতানির জন্য কেউ কোনো কাগজপত্র দপ্তরে জমা দেয়নি। তবে সোমবার সকালে কাস্টমস হাউজে কাগজপত্র দাখিল করা হবে বলে জানা গেছে। ...
