Potato prices increased, 400 metric tons imported from India
Dhaka, 17 March 2024 : Potatoes have been imported from India through Benapole land port in Jessore.
100 tons of potatoes came from India
In order to keep the price of potatoes normal in the country's market, the import of potatoes from India has started through Hili land port of Hakimpur upazila of Dinajpur.
Comilla: 6,500 kg of potatoes seized, sold at Tk 35
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 23 September 2023: The National Directorate of Consumer Rights has conducted a raid in Comilla city on the charge of selling potatoes at high prices by creating fake vouchers. At that time, 108 sacks of potatoes kept in the godown were sold to the consumers at the rate of Tk 35 fixed by the government.
1.5-2 lakh tons of potatoes to be exported to Russia next year
Dhaka, April 5: Agriculture Minister Dr. Md. Abdur Razzak MP said that one and a half to two lakh tonnes of potatoes will be exported to Russia next year.
