19 feet high bronze sculpture of Bangabandhu to be built in Suhrawardy Udyan

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, July 12: Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital was known as Racecourse Maidan in 1971. Before the war of liberation started, millions of Bengalis gathered on this ground on March 7. Bangabandhu addressed the crowd. A bronze sculpture of Bangabandhu will be erected at the place of that historic speech bearing that memory. The height of this sculpture will be 19 feet 6 inches and the altar will be 6 feet 9 inches.
