Dhaka, October 8: Nazmur Hasan Papon will serve as the President of Bangladesh Cricket Board for another four years. Of the 23 elected and two nominated by the National Sports Council - a total of 25 who have become board directors this time, Papon's acceptance is much higher. So it was certain that he would be the head of the board again.

Cricketer Nasir Hossain may land in jail over marriage as PBI declares it unlawful

Dhaka, October 1: Cricketer Nasir Hossain can go to jail for marrying a woman who had not completed her divorce from the previous marriage. His marriage to Tamima Sultana Tammi is currently unlawful. The information was revealed in a report filed in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jasim on Thursday. PBI investigation officer Mizanur Rahman submitted the report.

Bangladesh's international cricket umpire Nadir Shah dies of cancer

Dhaka, September 10: Bangladesh's internation cricket umpire Nadir Shah has succumbed to cancer, after a prolonged battle with the deadly disease. He was admitted to a hospital in the Dhaka a few days ago and died at around 3:30 am on Friday.

Dhaka, September 1: Bangladesh won their first ever T20I match against New Zealand and did so in style by bowling out the latter for 60 runs in 16.5 overs at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium here in Mirpur on Wednesday. This is the visiting team's lowest T20I score till date. 

Australia bowled out for 62, its lowest ever T20I score; Bangladesh win series 4-1

Dhaka, August 9: There are defeats and then there are bone crushing blows and Australia, a powerhouse in cricket for decades, felt the latter as Bangladesh bowled them out for 62 runs- its lowest ever T20I score, on Monday, at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. The home side won the five-match series 4-1.

T20I: Rusty Australia handed second straight defeat by hosts Bangladesh

Dhaka, August 5: Just 24 hours after Australia were handed a heavy defeat by hosts Bangladesh, the former witnessed an encore, as Mahmudullah Riyad and his men made sure the visitors make their lowest ever T20I score while batting first and playing out all 120 legal deliveries.
