Dhaka, Jan 15: Nazmul Hasan Papon was elected Member of Parliament (MP) from Kishoreganj-6 Constituency in the 12th National Parliament Elections. After becoming an MP, the government gave Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Papon the responsibility of youth and sports ministry.

Tamim had decided to withdraw his name from the competetion owing to injuries and lack of game time.
