India resumes coronavirus vaccine supply to Bangladesh

New Delhi, November 27: After vaccinating more than 100 million people in the country, India has resumed its supply of the Covid-19 vaccine to Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal and Iran, after a gap of eight months.

New Delhi, August 3: India has expressed desire to start human trial of the 'Covaxin' coronavirus jab in Bangladesh. The Narendra Modi government has already approved the necessary funds for this. An influential national daily quoted an Indian government document on Monday (August 2).

Dhaka, June 5: India has said no to coronavirus vaccine exports to foreign countries, including Bangladesh, as the nation is fighting a shortage of doses amid the second wave of the deadly disease, the country's external affairs ministry' spokesperson Arindam Bagchi confirmed on Thursday.

Dhaka, June 2: China has set different prices for Sinopharm's coronavirus vaccine for different countries in South Asia, causing uneasiness among its allies in the region. It has been alleged that even though Bangladesh has purchased per dose at USD 10, Bejing has charged Sri Lanka USD 15 for the same, giving rise to controversy in both countries.
