Dhaka, December 7: Pranay Verma, the Indian High Commissioner appointed in Dhaka, said that India gives the highest priority in terms of friendship with Bangladesh. Mentioning the important achievements of both the countries in the past 50 years, he stressed on the future generations of both countries to understand the history of 1971 and keep the tradition intact.

New Delhi, July 14: India's Delhi University will set up the 'Bangabandhu Chair' in honour of Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Indian Council for Cultural Relations and Delhi University on Monday (July 12th). The agreement was signed in Delhi, India. Dhaka, May 22: Bangladesh has extended its closure on land borders with India for another eight days due to the worsening coronavirus infection situation in the neighbouring country. It will be effective till May 31, according to a notification sent from Bangladesh Assistant High Commission of Agartala, Tripura on Friday (May 21). It said the ban on passengers traveling across the land border with India has been extended to May 31.
