Dhaka, July 3: Indian High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami is leaving Bangladesh. He is expected to take charge of the Indian Embassy in the United Kingdom. In 1992, he joined the Foreign Service of India. He has previously served as the country's ambassador to Uzbekistan and South Korea. Prior to that, he served in various capacities in Indian diplomatic missions in Hong Kong, Beijing, New York and Johannesburg.

He made the remarks during a meeting with media personnel at the Indian Embassy on Gulshan Avenue in Dhaka on Thursday (October 8).

Dhaka, 5 October 2020: New Indian High Commissioner to Dhaka Vikram Doraiswamy has arrived in Bangladesh. He reached Bangladesh through Akhaura International Immigration Checkpost in Brahmanbaria around 10 am on Monday (October 5). The diplomat is set to replace former Indian High Commissioner Riva Ganguly Das.
