No boat services on election day

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 25 December 2023: The Election Commission (EC) has imposed a 24-hour ban on the movement of all boats in the country on the day of polling for the upcoming 12th National Assembly elections. According to the EC order, this ban will remain in force from 12 midnight on January 6 to 12 midnight on January 7. In a letter from the EC on Sunday, the Secretary of the Ministry of Shipping was informed to take action in this regard.

Double line: Travel from Dhaka to Chittagong in train in four hours

Dhaka, July 20: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated the dual gauge double line of Dhaka-Chittagong railway from Akhaura in Brahmanbaria to Laksam in Comilla. As a result, there is no single line on the Dhaka-Chittagong railway. It used to take 5 and a half to 6 hours before to go on this 321 km long route but now it will take 4 hours. Currently 23 trains run daily on this main railway line of the country. However, since it has been upgraded to a double line, 72 trains will be able to run from now.

Corona restrictions lifted at all airports in the country

Dhaka, May 28: The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh has lifted all restrictions related to coronavirus from all international and domestic airports of the country including Dhaka. This information was informed in a circular issued on May 25 by Air Commodore Shah Kawshar Ahmed Chowdhury, a member of the Flight Standards and Regulations Department of Babychock.
