'Parjatak Express' begins journey with 785 passengers
Dhaka, Jan 10: A second non-stop intercity train 'Parjatak Express' has been added to Dhaka-Cox's Bazar-Dhaka new railway route. This new train started its journey from Dhaka's Kamalapur railway station at 6:15 am on Wednesday. As many as 785 passengers went from Dhaka to Cox's Bazar in the first journey of this new train.
Cox's Bazar Express marks maiden journey to Dhaka
Dhaka, Dec 2: The journey of the 'Cox's Bazar Express' train has started on the Dhaka-Cox's Bazar route. The train left Cox's Bazar for Dhaka for the first time on Friday at 12:40 pm and reached Kamalapur station at 9 pm.
53 pairs of trains running on first day of Eid jatra
Dhaka, June 24: On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, one of the main religious festivals of Muslims, the train movement of Eid jatra has started today on Saturday. Eid journey started by train through Dhumketu Express at 6 am. On the first day of Eid jatra, 53 pairs of intercity and local trains will ply to different destinations in the country.
Cox's Bazar to be connected to rail network this year
Dhaka, January 9: Cox's Bazar, a tourist city, once had a dream to establish rail links with the rest of the country. The government is making that dream a reality. Chittagong's Dohazari to Cox's Bazar railway project is progressing rapidly with the target of completion in 2024. However, the project officials claim that tourists can travel to Cox's Bazar by train from June to October this year.
