Double line: Travel from Dhaka to Chittagong in train in four hours
Dhaka, July 20: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated the dual gauge double line of Dhaka-Chittagong railway from Akhaura in Brahmanbaria to Laksam in Comilla. As a result, there is no single line on the Dhaka-Chittagong railway. It used to take 5 and a half to 6 hours before to go on this 321 km long route but now it will take 4 hours. Currently 23 trains run daily on this main railway line of the country. However, since it has been upgraded to a double line, 72 trains will be able to run from now.
Chittagong gets new commuter trains
Dhaka, February 6: Two pairs of commuter trains have been launched from Chittagong on Patia and Dohazari routes. Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujan inaugurated the trains on Saturday (February 6). He inaugurated the commuter train of Chittagong-Dohazari and Chittagong-Patia-Chittagong routes from Dohazari railway station at 11:30 am and 12:30 pm respectively.

SpiceJet starts Chittagong-Kolkata flights
Dhaka, November 6: Private airline SpiceJet has launched flights from Chittagong to Kolkata. Airport Manager Wing Commander M Farhad Hossain Khan inaugurated the flight of SpiceJet at Shah Amanat International Airport on Thursday (November 5) morning.
US-Bangla flights to travel to Chennai, Kolkata from October 28
Dhaka, October 22: US-Bangla Airlines will start flights from Dhaka and Chittagong to Chennai and from Dhaka to Kolkata from 28 October.
