UK returnees increasing at the airport
Dhaka, January 23: The pressure of passengers returning to the UK is increasing at Shahjalal International Airport. From January 1 to January 21, a total of 679 people came to the country from the United Kingdom. Among them, more than two hundred passengers have returned in the last two days.
14 passengers arrived in Bangladesh on five flights from the United Kingdom
Dhaka, January 16: On the last day of the 'mandatory 14-day institutional quarantine' rule, 14 passengers arrived in the country on five flights from the United Kingdom. They came to the country from 8 am on January 15 to 8 am on January 16. They were first sent to the government quarantine center at the Ashkona Hajj camp and later to the government-designated hotel of their choice.
Quarantine of passengers returning from the UK is now four days
Dhaka, January 14: Compulsory quarantine for passengers returning from the UK has been reduced to four days. The decision was announced in a directive issued by the health department on January 13. Earlier, the period of compulsory quarantine was 14 days.

After landing at Sylhet MAG Osmani International Airport, all the 165 passengers returning from Britain on Thursday morning, were sent to their respective homes with instructions to stay in home quarantine.

Khalifa City: Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has suspended temporarily all flights between Abu Dhabi and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in response to a directive from the General Authority for Civil Aviation, Saudi Arabia, to help prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
