'Parjatak Express' begins journey with 785 passengers

According to Bangladesh Railway sources, the fare of non-AC class 'Shovan Chair' seats from Kamalapur to Cox's Bazar is Tk 695. AC class 'Snigdha' seat fare including VAT is Tk 1,325. The same fare is fixed from the airport station as well. From Dhaka (Kamalapur) to Chittagong station, non-AC class 'Shovan Chair' seat fare is Tk 450 and AC class 'Snigdha' seat fare is Tk 855 inclusive of VAT. Same fare from airport station too. Besides, the fare of non-AC class 'Shovan Chair' seats from Chittagong to Cox's Bazar station is Tk 250. AC class 'Snigdha' seat fare is fixed at Tk 470 inclusive of VAT. The same fare rate will be applicable on the return journey from Cox's Bazar.

Parjatak Express train number 815 to Dhaka and train number 816 to Cox's Bazar. The train will have a total of 16 coaches. Total seats are 785. Cox's Bazar railway station has been identified as a train wreck site. Watering, servicing and cleaning of the train will be done there. The train is closed weekly on Sunday. Train number 815 will leave Cox's Bazar station at 8 pm and reach Chittagong station at 10:50 pm. The train will leave Chittagong station at 11:15 pm with a break of 25 minutes. In this case, the total travel time from Dhaka to Cox's Bazar by train will take 9 hours and 15 minutes. The journey time from Cox's Bazar to Dhaka will take 8 hours 30 minutes.
