Cox's Bazar Express marks maiden journey to Dhaka

Passengers expressed their excitement to come from Cox's Bazar to Dhaka on this train named 'Cox's Bazar Express' on the first day. They feel that they have witnessed history by travelling on the first day of the new railway. After crossing the 535 km parallel railway track avoiding the suffering of the curved road, the relief was seen on the faces of the passengers.

Dhaka Railway Station Manager Mohammad Masud Sarwar gave this information to reporters at his office at 8 pm. He said, train movement has started on Dhaka-Cox's Bazar route.

The station manager said that adequate safety measures have been taken for train movement. The security forces of the railways including the railway police are in charge of security. The train can carry 780 passengers in 17 coaches. However, we are getting requests for 10-15 thousand passengers. Three additional coaches have been added due to passenger demand. About 1,025 passengers in 20 coaches will go from Dhaka to Cox's Bazar on the first day.

After getting off the train, a passenger named Soba Tasfia told Jago News that the train ride was very comfortable. It took less time due to coming by train. There was no difficulty in bringing along the lap child. I enjoyed my first ride. Another passenger named Saddam Hossain said, I came from Cox's Bazar to Dhaka by train for the first time. I became a witness of history. Now Dhaka-Cox's Bazar can be traveled easily.

Dr. Sadip Sarkar came from Cox's Bazar to Dhaka with his family on the first day of this new train journey. He told Jago News that I went to Cox's Bazar on Thursday and returned to Dhaka from Cox's Bazar by train on Friday. On the first day, I bought a ticket to board the train. It's nice to be able to ride the train with the family on the first day.
