Own Correspondent, Dhaka, July 2: On the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, a huge crowd of ticket seekers was seen at the Kamalapur railway station on the second day to buy advance train tickets. This was seen on Saturday morning.

Tickets for the second day of the Eid Yatra will go on sale from 8 am on Saturday (July 2). Some people have taken position at the railway station since Thursday afternoon to get tickets on this day. There is also a section of ticket seekers who did not get tickets even after standing in line on the first day (Friday).

On this day men as well as women have come to the station earlier. They are eager to get train tickets as there is a risk of more traffic jams on the roads before Eid. They have come to buy train tickets beforehand to avoid the suffering of the journey.

On the first day of ticket sales (Friday), senior officials of the Railway Ministry visited Kamalapur Railway Station. It is learned that Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujan will visit Kamalapur station today. Railway security forces and Ansar members are working to ensure peaceful ticket distribution. The RAB is present along with the police to stop the sale of tickets on the black market.

Train tickets are on sale from Friday (July 1). On July 1, train tickets for July 5 were sold, while on July 2, 3, 4 and 5, tickets for July 6, 7, 8 and 9 will be sold respectively.

Besides, return tickets will be on sale from July 7. Tickets for July 11 will be sold on that day. Tickets for July 12 and 13 will be sold on July 8 and 9 respectively, while tickets for July 14 and 15 will be sold on July 11.

However, a limited number of intercity trains will be available on July 11. All trains will run from July 12.

Eid train tickets are available at six stations in Dhaka and Joydebpur railway station in Gazipur. Tickets for the entire northern intercity trains are being sold at Dhaka's Kamalapur railway station. Tickets for the Rajshahi and Khulna trains are available at the Kamalapur suburban platform. All intercity train tickets to Chittagong and Noakhali are available from Dhaka Airport station. Mymensingh, Jamalpur, Dewanganj train tickets are available at Tejgaon railway station.
