Among them are Biman's Dhaka-Sylhet-London flights on Sunday (June 19) and Wednesday (June 22), which have also been canceled.

CAAB said the date of the canceled flight would be announced later. In this regard, General Manager-Public Relations (GM-PR) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Tahera Khandaker said that the decision regarding the next flight will be taken on the 21st.

Earlier on Friday (June 18) afternoon, the airport authorities announced the closure of flights due to flood waters near the runway of Sylhet Osmani International Airport. Sylhet has been hit by terrible floods. Houses, hospitals and other institutions have already been submerged in the downpour and rain water coming down from the upper reaches. As a result, millions of people have suffered. Besides, the communication system of Sylhet has also been disrupted due to the floods.
