International tourism fair begins in Dhaka

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, June 3: The three-day international tourism fair-Dhaka Travel Mart started after a two-year hiatus due to the Corona pandemic.

Bangladesh Tourism, the country's leading travel and tourism publication, has organized the tourism fair titled 'Trip Lover Dhaka Travel Mart'.

State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism, Md. Mahbub Ali, inaugurated the fair at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital on Thursday (June 2). The three-day tourism fair will be open for visitors daily from 10 am to 8 pm.

The entrance fee has been fixed at Tk 40 per person. A raffle draw will be held on the closing day over the entry coupons. The winners will receive attractive prizes including return tickets for Maldives, Singapore, Sharjah, Dubai, Delhi, Kolkata, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet.

About 50 local and foreign companies, national tourism companies, airlines, tour operators, hotels, resorts, travel agencies, online travel agencies and healthcare providers are participating in this year's fair. Participants made various attractive offers including discounts during the fair. Among them, Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the airline partner of the fair, is offering up to 20 percent discount on air tickets on their specific international routes.

US-Bangla Airlines is offering 10 percent discount on air tickets for all their domestic and international destinations and courtesy hotel room for Cox's Bazar travelers and NovoAir is offering 10 percent discount on their tickets.

A seminar titled "Bangladesh's Possibilities as a Regional Aviation Hub" will be held at Sonargaon Hotel on June 4 at 3:30 pm during Dhaka Travel Mart.

The title sponsor of Dhaka Travel Mart-2022 is online travel agency Trip Lover, and it is co-sponsored by US-Bangla Airlines. Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Bangladesh Tourism Board and Bangladesh Tourism Corporation are cooperating in organizing as partners.
