Italy Italian embassy requests Biman Bangladesh to start flights to the European country
Dhaka, October 19: The Italian embassy in Bangladesh has requested Biman Bangladesh to start flights to the European nation, days after restrictions on Bangladeshi expats were lifted by Rome.
The state flag carrier is preparing to operate flights from Bangladesh to Rome, Italy.
In a press release sent on Sunday (October 18) night, Biman said that at the request of the Italian Embassy in Bangladesh, Biman Bangladesh Airlines has started registration to operate flights from Dhaka to Rome.
Those who want to go have been asked to visit Biman Bangladesh's website for registration and details.
Biman has asked those interested in returning to Italy to go to this link and register for tickets.
They will announce their flight schedule in a few days.
At present, Bangladeshis are going to Italy on transit flights through Turkish Airlines, Emirates and Qatar Airways.
After a long hiatus due to the Covid-19 situation, the Italian government recently relaxed the ban on Bangladeshis entering the country.
