Intercity Trains No issuance of intercity train tickets from April 11
Dhaka, April 1: Bangladesh Railway has introduced new rules for issuing passenger train tickets due to coronavirus epidemic. A letter signed by Deputy Director of Railways (TC) Mohammad Nahid Hasan Khan on Wednesday (March 31) said the new rules would be issued.
The letter said that new rules have been temporarily introduced in the ticket issue of Bangladesh Railway in the light of the government notification due to the increase in corona infection.
The new amendments are: -
About 50 per cent of the total seats on the intercity trains of Bangladesh Railway will be issued simultaneously online, on mobile apps and at counters from 8 am in advance.
The issue of intercity train tickets will be suspended from April 11 until further notice.
Strict adherence to hygiene rules in providing catering services on intercity trains and providing night bedding on trains.
The mentioned amendments to the ticket issue will come into effect from April 1. In this case, the ticket issue issued from time to time and other rules of hygiene will remain unchanged.
