Dhaka, October 18: Tourists are being sent back from Milanchari area on Bandarban-Ruma road due to joint force operations. Tourists are returning from that road since Tuesday (October 18) morning.

According to the related sources, due to the increase in the activities of armed terrorists in the remote hilly areas, the joint forces have been conducting an anti-terrorist operation for a week in Bilaichari of Rangamati on the border of Ruma and Rowangchari in Bandarban. For this reason, the local administration is discouraging tourists from visiting the tourist centers of Ruma and Rowangchari from Monday (October 17) evening for the safety of tourists coming to Bandarban. Therefore, the police administration is sending back the tourists who have left for the purpose of traveling to these upazilas since morning from Milanchari police outpost on Bandarban-Ruma road in Bandarban Sadar area.

President of Bandarban Jeep-Microbus Owners Association Nashirul Alam said, "The administration discouraged tourists from traveling to Ruma and Rowangchari upazilas on Monday. The administration is sending back all tourist vehicles from Milanchari area of ​​Ruma road in Bandarban Sadar area from Tuesday morning."

When asked about this, Additional Superintendent of Police of Bandarban Tourist Police Nahid said, "I have heard about the return of tourists. Officially, we have not received any letter about it yet. We will inform you about the details later."
