Don't care about any country's sanctions: PM in US
Richmond, Sept 29: Commenting that she does not care about any country's sanctions, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that we will make arrangements for the development that is sustainable today.
Sheikh Hasina made this comment at the exchange meeting organized by the local Awami League in Virginia, USA on Wednesday.
She said, "We have land, we have people. Bangabandhu built the country with that soil and people. I am doing the same. The people of Bangladesh are my family. I am working day and night for my family."
Stating that the manifesto is being prepared ahead of the 12th parliamentary elections, the head of government said, "I promised to do digital Bangladesh, I have done that. This will be Smart Bangladesh. We will make the development that is sustainable today."
Sheikh Hasina said, "Bangladesh has changed with the change of day. The next day will change more. We have now started preparing to move to Smart Bangladesh. That is why the committee has been formed. We are preparing the election manifesto, in future our Bangladesh will be Smart Bangladesh."
Hasina also said that they are preparing for the journey that will start from 2026 as a developing country.
Stating that the upcoming elections are very important, the head of government said that there is trust and faith in the people of Bangladesh. They think that only Awami League can change the destiny of the people of the country. I believe that people will reciprocate that trust through voting.
