Foreign Minister arrives in Uganda to represent Bangladesh at NAM and South summits

Kampala, Jan 20: Foreign Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud has arrived in Uganda to lead the Bangladesh delegation to the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the G77 3rd South Summit.

Bangladesh High Commissioner to Kenya and Uganda Tareq Muhammad welcomed the Foreign Minister when he arrived at Entebbe International Airport in Central Uganda on Friday afternoon after leaving Dhaka on Thursday night.

Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen, who was attending NAM's pre-summit session, was present at the time. Md. Emdadul Islam Chowdhury, Director General of the United Nations Wing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is with the Minister as a member of the delegation.

After attending these two multilateral conferences, the minister is scheduled to leave for Dhaka on January 22.
