Bangladesh records 16 COVID-19 deaths in past 24 hours

Dhaka: Bangladesh has recorded sixteen COVID-19 related deaths in the past 24 hours.

The death toll now stands at 386 and the death rate at 1.44 percent, Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general (administration) of DGHS, was quoted as saying bt The Daily Star.

One thousand six hundred and seventeen have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of infected has reached 26,738, the newspaper reported.

214 Covid-19 patients have recovered in the country since Tuesday.

So far, 5,207 patients have recovered in the country.
