7.8 earthquake hits Solomon Islands, no casualty

Sydney, Dec 9: An earthquake measuring 7.8 on the Richter Scale hit Solomon Islands on Friday, as per the USGS.

According to the USGS website, the epicentre of the quake was located at  latitude 10.676 degrees South and  longitude 161.330 degrees East.


No casualty has been reported so far.
