Street Play protests oppression of the Uyghurs, demands closure of all Chinese projects

Dhaka, May 7: A street play was staged in front of the National Press Club on Thursday (May 5) at 3:30 pm on the occasion of Dopa Day, a cultural festival of the oppressed Uighur people of China. The street play was staged by Samad Bhuiyan and his party in protest of the cultural adversity, threats and persecution of Uighur Muslims in China. The event called for the closure of all projects with Chinese assistance.
