Bangladesh lags behind Sri Lanka in Global Hunger Index
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, Oct 14: Bangladesh's position in the Global Hunger Index (GSI) has deteriorated compared to last year. Bangladesh was in the 76th position last year, now it has moved to the 84th position. Bangladesh is ahead of neighbouring India (107th) and Pakistan (99th) but lags behind Sri Lanka which is in a major economic crisis. Sri Lanka is in the 64th position on the list.

নিজস্ব প্রতিনিধি, ঢাকা, অক্টোবর ১৭ : চলতি বছরের বিশ্ব ক্ষুধা সূচকে ১০২তম স্থানে নেমে গেছে ভারত। ক্ষুধা মেটানোর তালিকায় ভারতের চেয়ে এগিয়ে রয়েছে পাকিস্তান, বাংলাদেশ, শ্রীলঙ্কা, নেপাল ও চীন। সূচকে চীন ২৫, নেপাল ৭৩, বাংলাদেশ ৮৮ এবং পাকিস্তান ৯৪ স্থানে রয়েছে।
