Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 30 October 2023: The High Court reduced the death sentence of 7 militants to life imprisonment in the case of terrorist attack on Holey Artisan Bakery in Gulshan. On Monday, October 30, the High Court bench of Justice Sahidul Karim and Justice Md. Mostafizur Rahman announced the verdict.
If the verdict does not mention till death, life imprisonment is 30 years: High Court
Dhaka, December 1: The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court has ruled that a convict sentenced to life imprisonment is liable to imprisonment for up to 30 years, if the sentence does not mention 'till death'.
