Own Correspondent, Dhaka, August 17: The import of rice from India has increased through Hili Land Port of Dinajpur's Hakimpur Upazila. Despite the increase in imports, importers are not unloading rice from the port due to fear of loss. Importers are hoping that the government will quickly reduce the duty and make it possible for imported rice to be marketed.

Bangladesh imports 1,00,000 tonnes of rice from India

Dhaka, February 4: One lakh eleven thousand five hundred and twenty tonnes of rice imported from India has reached the country, an official press release from the Ministry of Food said on Wednesday (February 3).
