Dhaka, April 17: Three units of fire Service and civil defence brought under control the fire in BNP Bazar slum in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar of the capital after about 40 minutes of effort.
Mohakhali fire: Over 100 shanties gutted
Dhaka, June 7: The fire that broke out in the slum of Mohakhali in the capital was brought under control after about three hours due to the efforts of the fire service personnel. Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control around 7 am on Monday (June 7). There were no reports of injuries in the blaze. However, it is estimated that at least one thousand houses in the slum have been burnt down.
