Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 23 August 2023: The court has framed charges against 96 people, including Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar, in the Motijheel police station case of sabotage. The formal trial of the case has begun as a result of the framing of the complaint. On Wednesday, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saiful Islam rejected the plea of acquittal of the accused and filed charges against the accused. At the same time, he fixed September 17 as the date for taking the evidence in the case.

নিজস্ব প্রতিনিধি, ঢাকা, মে ২৮ : মন্ত্রিসভা সোমবার আইন-শৃঙ্খলা বিঘœকারী (দ্রুত বিচার) (সংশোধনী) আইন-২০১৯ এর খসড়া নীতিগতভাবে অনুমোদন দিয়েছে। আইনের এই খসড়ায় আইনটির কার্যকারিতার মেয়াদ আরো পাঁচ বছর বৃদ্ধির প্রস্তাব করা হয়েছে। প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার সভাপতিত্বে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর কার্যালয়ে অনুষ্ঠিত মন্ত্রিসভার নিয়মিত সাপ্তাহিক বৈঠকে এই অনুমোদন দেয়া হয়।
