Own Correspondent, Dhaka, July 19: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hand over 26,229 more houses to the landless and homeless on Thursday (July 21) under the third phase of the government's Ashrayan-2 project as part of ensuring housing system for the landless and homeless people.

Another 5.87 lakh homeless people to receive houses from government

Dhaka, October 27: The government has newly identified the landless, homeless, uprooted and helpless people of Bangladesh. The number of these helpless families identified is 5 lakh 87 thousand 417. The government will build 14,620 new barracks to house these families. Under the project, 5,149 pucca barracks, 5,078 in char areas and 4,393 semi-pucca barracks will be constructed in other parts of the country.

Irregularities in Prime Minister Hasina's Ashrayan-2 Project, 5 teams to inspect

Dhaka, July 9: Five teams are on the ground to inspect the irregularities and progress in the construction of houses under the Ashrayan Project that deals with the gift shelter given by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. These high level teams led by the project director himself will visit different districts and upazilas of Dhaka, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions in two days.
