10 coal-fired power plants shut down, more to be done to reduce carbon emissions
Dhaka, November 4: Bangladesh has decided to shut down coal-fired power plants to reduce carbon emissions in response to climate change. Ten coal-fired power plants have been shut down. Discussions are underway on how to close six more centers. Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen told reporters at the Bangladesh Pavilion at the Glasgow Climate Conference on Wednesday (November 3).
