35 km traffic jam on Dhaka-Tangail highway
Dhaka, July 8: Traffic on the Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge highway has come to a complete standstill due to road accidents, toll collection and pressure of additional vehicles. The North Bengal-bound lane has created a long traffic jam in an area of 35 km from the eastern bank of Bangabandhu Bridge to Pakulla in Mirzapur. The picture was seen on Friday (July 8) afternoon in the Elenga, Pauli, Rabna, Ashekpur and Bhatkura areas of the highway.
Two flyovers on Dhaka-Tangail highway opened ahead of Eid

Heavy traffic jam on Dhaka-Tangail highway
Dhaka, July 18: Flyover construction is underway on the Dhaka-Tangail highway in Gorai industrial area of Mirzapur upazila. As a result, four-lane vehicles on the highway are coming out with one lane. Besides, passenger buses, cattle and goods trucks on Gorai-Sakhipur road are taking to the highway with U-turns. As a result, traffic congestion on the Dhaka-Tangail highway is gradually increasing. The situation was the same throughout the day on Saturday (July 17).
