Dhaka, November 11: At present, the rate of migration of workers has increased. From July to October, more than one and a half lakh workers have travelled abroad for employment. Moreover, demand for recruitment of workers is constantly coming from different countries.
Cabinet instructs expat workers not to return back to Bangladesh during coronavirus pandemic
Dhaka, July 15: The cabinet, in coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Health and Expatriate Welfare, directed to take strong steps to increase the foreign income and prevent the return of workers from abroad. The directive was given to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment at a virtual cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday.
Forums form human chain, demand harassment-free immigration
Dhaka, January 16: Human chains and rallies have been held to ensure safe and harassment-free migration. The demand was made by a human chain organized by Bangladesh Migrant Workers Forum and Bangladesh Migrant Women Workers Association in front of the National Press Club on Friday.
