Biyanibazar: Excavation of abandoned well starts with expectation of getting seven million cubic feet of gas per day

Dhaka, September 10: Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration and Production Company Limited (BAPEX) has started the re-excavation of the abandoned well number one of the gas field in Biyanibazar, Sylhet. The company expects to get five to seven million cubic feet of gas per day from this well.

Presence of two trillion cubic feet of gas likely in the sea

Dhaka, October 20: The Energy and Mineral Resources Division is hopeful of getting about two trillion cubic feet (TCF) of gas into the sea. According to data submitted by ONGC Videsh, India's national body, to Petrobangla, 1.9 TCF of gas could be found by digging three wells in the shallow sea.
