68 percent of coronavirus patients in Dhaka infected with Delta variant

Dhaka, June 18: According to a research by the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b), 68 percent coronavirus patients in Dhaka is infected with the Delta (Indian) variant of the virus. The data was obtained after conducting genome sequencing of 60 samples. The remaining samples had Beta (South African) variant and Eta (Nigerian) variant.
