Own Correspondent, Dhaka, February 1: Major Sinha's sister Sharmin Shahriar Ferdous said she will be satisfied only if the verdict in the murder case of retired Major Sinha Md. Rashed Khan is effective. She said executions of the two main accused have met her expectations, but there is dissatisfaction with the acquittal of the seven as they also had some involvement.
Pradeep-Liaquat to die for killing Major Sinha, six sentenced to life imprisonment, seven acquitted
Dhaka, January 31: A court has sentenced OC (dismissed) Pradeep Kumar and police inspector Liaquat Ali to death and six others to life imprisonment in connection with the murder of Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan. On the other hand, seven people have been acquitted from the case. Cox's Bazar District and Sessions Judge Mohammad Ismail pronounced the verdict on Monday (January 31) afternoon.
