Dhaka, March 2: From now on, train tickets cannot be purchased without registration through the National Identity Card. In the first phase, this system will be introduced only for inter-city train tickets, but it will also be implemented in local trains in a phased manner.
Government to issue NID after birth
Dhaka, October 10: The Cabinet has given conditional approval to the draft of the 'National Identity Card Registration Act, 2022', with the provision of issuing National Identity Card (NID) after birth. At the same time, according to this law, the NID services will be transferred from the Election Commission to the Security Services Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
