Dhaka, April 16: After Eid-ul-Fitr, the Merchants Association elections were to be held at Dhaka New Super Market (South). So the whole market was covered with the banner-festoons of the leaders and activists contesting in the election. Because of these banner-festoons, the fire spread quickly, said the Department of Fire Service and Civil Defense.
Dhaka New Supermarket declared hazardous 16 years ago, removal stuck due to traders' obstruction
Dhaka, April 16: The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) had declared Dhaka New Supermarket (South) hazardous due to the risk of collapse and fire at any time. Dhaka Fire: 35 injured people including 13 fire service personnel admitted to DMCH
